About SDC Laboratory
33 Years of Expertise
SDC Lab was created as a community-minded corporation in 1992. We operate with a quality assurance plan (QAP) and know the value of safe and sustainable water. We endeavor to protect fundamental resources.
Women- and Minority-Owned
SDC Laboratory is proud to deliver exacting standards and decades of experience.

Current owner and laboratory director, Julie Zahringer, continues the organization’s expertise, excellence and legacy as a woman- and minority-owned business.
Julie was appointed to Colorado Water Quality Commission in April 2022 by Governor Jared Polis and confirmed unanimously by the Colorado State Senate. She has 31 years' experience in the analytical water industry and is focused on ensuring all Coloradans have access to safe, clean, and affordable drinking water.

About Our Name
The Sangre de Cristo mountains, a majestic subrange of the Rocky Mountains, with 10 dramatic peaks that rise above 14,000 feet, are the inspiration for our name. Visitors to the lab can enjoy a view of these just outside our laboratory door.
